Summer 2024 Conference Talks

Author: Richard Eastham

Date: Jul 19, 2024

Richard was invited by both the Urban Design Group (UDG) in London and the Royal Town Planning Institute South East (RTPI SE) to talk at two recent summer conferences. On both occasions he was asked to share his expertise on how to engage communities in the urban design and planning processes. Using the co-creative success of the recent Waterlooville Town Centre Regeneration Project – a multidisciplinary project involving eight different practices and led by Feria Urbanism – Richard described the techniques that can be deployed at various stages in the design process to get the best results.

He concluded his talk with the top ten lessons learned from this project and encouraged those attending to consider how their projects could benefit by adopting his co-creative, design-led approaches. You can watch his UDG talk here on the Urban Nous site.
