Local communities often have strong and emotional connections to their local architectural heritage. Our surroundings embody memory, tell stories, and communicate feelings of belonging. The award-winning Bournemouth-based urban design and planning practice Feria Urbanism was appointed to work with the communities that live and work on three streets in Ryde, Newport, and Reading and we used the results to inform a series of heritage-led regeneration initiatives. Richard was invited by the RTPI South West to talk about our experiences on these three streets at its recent conference in Dorchester. You can click here to watch Richard’s talk.
