Last Friday saw the successful running of our Totton Town Centre Masterplan Gallery and Exhibition, welcoming over 250 visitors and gathering more than 100 completed surveys. The event gave local people the chance to see the emerging urban design and planning ideas for the town centre, displayed across 24 posters. Members of the project team, and the remarkable community panel who helped develop those ideas, were on hand throughout to answer questions and talk things through.
It was a pleasure to see how effective this panel-led approach to engagement has been. Those who could not attend can still take part: the full set of posters and the survey remain online until 9pm on Friday 13th February. The Totton Town Centre Masterplan is a New Forest District Council project, led by AR Urbanism with Urban Delivery and Feria Urbanism. Special thanks to Amber Hardy, Kara Birrell and Wendy Cable for their support delivering this event.
