Feria Urbanism submitted an entry to an RIBA international design competition to reinvent and reimagine Maidstone High Street, working with Conran & Partners, artist Fiona Heron, Milestone Transport, Contemporary Transport and Equation Lighting.
Our team was one of just five shortlisted from 76 entries from across Europe, the USA, and Japan. The proposal included closing the unwelcoming pedestrian subways and introducing new at-grade crossings, creating flexible spaces for outdoor markets, and delivering a new information centre with panoramic views over the River Medway.
