Year: 2012

Feria Urbanism developed a framework plan to guide the transformation of a redundant school site in Suffolk into a new community campus focused on education and sport.

The framework set out a clear and coherent vision for the site within the wider context of the town, designed to attract investment, secure funding, and communicate the proposal to the public in an accessible way. Maintaining strong community understanding and support was seen as essential to the project’s success.

The proposed campus will combine a range of community and educational uses, with sport, health, and fitness playing a central role in fostering a healthy, active culture. A key principle of the plan is co-location — bringing together sports clubs, groups, and organisations on a single site to share facilities. This approach encourages collaboration, increases visibility, and helps local clubs reach a wider audience and attract new participants.
